Senior Town Planner

Location: Charlestown, NSW

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a well-established consultancy delivering a diverse range of planning and development projects across NSW.

This role provides high-level planning advice to developers, stakeholders, and project teams while ensuring statutory compliance and quality outcomes across the built and natural environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-level, accurate town planning advice to clients and stakeholders
- Manage and assess Development Applications in accordance with NSW legislation
- Prepare planning assessments, reports, and conditions of consent
- Conduct pre-lodgement meetings and provide upfront strategic advice
- Liaise with councils, government departments, and approval authorities
- Inspect development sites as required
- Maintain currency with planning legislation, policy changes, and best practice

About You





- Degree qualified in Town/Urban Planning (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience within the NSW planning system
- Strong understanding of the EP&A; Act, planning instruments, and DA processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, commercially aware, and able to work autonomously
