About the position The Assistant Director,



Government Relations works closely with the Director to deliver ARENA’s government relations strategy by coordinating high-quality engagement, briefing and intelligence products. The role works across ARENA and the Australian Government to provide practical advice, maintain effective stakeholder relationships, monitor parliamentary and policy developments, and ensure government engagement is timely, coordinated and aligned with ARENA’s statutory role and strategic objectives.

ARENA employees are engaged under the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Act 2011. They are not the same as Australian Public Service (APS) employees, who are employed under the Public Service Act 1999. ARENA’s employment conditions and classifications may differ from those of APS departments and agencies.

Positions are classified based on the nature and scope of the duties required to be performed. Job level and remuneration are determined with regard to:
