Are you an emerging project management professional looking to build your experience on complex infrastructure planning projects? Join Sydney Water as an Assistant Project Manager and support the delivery of planning projects that help provide essential water and wastewater services to Greater Sydney.

About the role

Working under the guidance of experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you'll support the delivery of planning projects from initiation through to completion. You'll assist with project planning, reporting, stakeholder engagement, governance, risk management and scheduling, while developing your project management capability in a complex infrastructure setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of planning projects to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
- Assist with business cases, project plans and governance documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, risks and performance reporting.
- Support stakeholder engagement across Sydney Water, consultants and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with project management, procurement and contract management frameworks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned activities.

About You

You are a motivated project professional who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to successful project outcomes.

In addition to qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline, you will also have:

- 3 years of industry experience supporting infrastructure, utilities, engineering or planning projects.
- Knowledge of project management principles including scheduling, risk and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a collaborative environment.
