- Take direction from the Venue Manager, maintaining a proactive approach at all times.
- Support and inspire the restaurant team to deliver an elevated food and beverage experience across service periods.
- Assist in overseeing and coordinating operational activities within the department, maintaining established service standards.
- Maintain staff morale and team cohesion through positive, productive leadership, and actively seek ways to develop and retain team members.
- Ensure clear and comprehensive shift handovers occur.
- Maintain accurate statistical records and reporting, and control departmental expenses within set targets.
- Cultivate a sales culture, implementing and tracking up‑selling and on‑selling strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, RSA requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Uphold QT and Parlour's grooming, presentation, and service‑style standards.
- Actively participate in team briefings, training sessions, and operational meetings. What You’ll Bring - 2+ years’ experience in an Assistant Restaurant Manager role or similar within high‑volume, premium hospitality venues (hotel experience a plus, not essential).
- Proven ability to deliver a high‑level guest experience that exceeds expectations for VIP clientele and hotel guests.
- Experience assisting in the management of medium‑sized restaurant teams, with a focus on developing and training staff.
- A passion for wine and beverage, with the confidence to lead tastings, pairings, and guest‑facing storytelling.
- Understanding of budget management, cost control, and P&L; analysis to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- A creative, team‑first attitude and commitment to excellence in a fast‑paced, design‑driven environment.
