GEBIE Civil and Construction (GCC) is the commercial subsidiary of Groote Eylandt and Bickerton Island Enterprises Aboriginal Corporation (GEBIE). GCC undertakes Civil and Construction projects across the Groote Archipelago and has a commercial workshop for vehicles, plant, and equipment.
GCC has been awarded the construction of 27 block homes across the communities of Angurugu and Umbakumba on Groote Eylandt.
This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile Site Project Administrator who is a self‑starter, proactive, dependable and confident working in a fast-paced workplace. The role involves working autonomously while overseeing administrative and coordination functions across multiple project sites. Travel between communities is required, with a vehicle provided.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage ITPs and ensure all compliance requirements are met on time
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and key project stakeholders
- Reviewing contractor timesheets/invoices for payment
- Organising, filing project documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Working directly with Contracts Admin on compliance, reporting and record keeping
- Maintain the Construction program, with changes and advising the Construction Manager regularly on progress
- Maintain Safety documentation onsite, including, site inductions, tickets and licenses, equipment VOC’s, SWMS.
- Monitoring pre-starts, daily dockets, checklists and compliance records
- Maintain list of equipment and vehicles on site for the project
- Assist with ordering and tracking materials required for site operations and coordinating deliveries
Experience in residential or commercial construction is highly desirable, and project management exposure will be viewed favorably. This position suits an experienced Site Administrator with a strong can‑do attitude and the confidence to take ownership of site administration.
Working alongside the Construction Supervisor, Head Contracts Administrator and Construction Manager, this role is responsible for managing all site‑based project documentation and administrative requirements. The Site Project Administrator plays a key role in ensuring compliance with the Panel Contract and supporting the achievement of project milestones. The position also monitors site progress and prepares reports as needed. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role that requires regular onsite presence and travel between communities.
