Position: Assistant Site Manager
Employment Type: Part-time to Full-time (3–5 days per week)
Location: [1/107 Highbury Rd, Burwood]
Probation Period: 3 months
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Site Manager to support daily operations at our construction/project site. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their site management skills while working closely with a professional team. You will assist the Site Manager in coordinating tasks, supervising onsite activities, and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager in coordinating daily site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to maintain smooth site activities.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues or delays, and proactively report solutions to the Site Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements, company procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality standards, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Organise and manage material deliveries, equipment allocation, site logistics, and warehouse coordination to minimise project delays.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily site diaries, progress reports, defect lists,
variation records, and photographic records.
- Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking, and preparation for Building Surveyor inspections, Occupancy Permit (OP), and project handover.
- Support quality assurance and defect management by coordinating rectification works and ensuring completed works meet RubiksCraft's quality standards.
- Build positive relationships with clients, consultants, and trades while representing the RubiksCraft brand with professionalism on every project.
- Identify opportunities to improve construction methods, site efficiency, and project delivery processes through continuous feedback and innovation.
- Perform other project-related duties as reasonably required to support successful project delivery.
Key Requirements Previous experience in construction or site-based work preferred.
Basic understanding of construction processes and safety standards.
Solid organizational and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor environments.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
White Card (mandatory).
Driver’s license needed.
Working Conditions
Flexible work schedule: 3–5 days per week depending on project needs.
Probation period of 6 months.
$26 per hour, paid monthly.
