Lead the strategic direction of nationally delivered IT programmes in Adelaide

Your new company An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced academic leader to join a respected national private higher education provider as Associate Dean - Information Technology. Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Executive Dean, this strategic leadership role is responsible for driving academic excellence, curriculum innovation, governance, and quality outcomes across the institution's Information Technology programmes.

This is a career-defining opportunity to influence the future direction of technology education while leading high-performing academic teams and contributing to the broader strategic objectives of a growing national education provider.

Your new role

As Associate Dean of Information Technology, you will provide leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate IT programmes delivered nationally. You will work closely with senior academics and executive leaders to ensure exceptional student outcomes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the continued development of contemporary, industry-aligned curriculum.

You will champion innovation in teaching and learning, foster a culture of academic excellence, and build strong relationships with industry, professional bodies and external stakeholders.

- Lead the strategic direction, quality and delivery of Information Technology programmes across multiple campuses and online learning environments
- Provide academic leadership and mentorship to academic staff
- Drive curriculum design, development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant Higher Education Standards Framework requirements and institutional policies
- Support learning,



teaching and assessment excellence across all IT disciplines
- Participate in and contribute to academic governance committees and decision-making forums
- Foster a culture of academic integrity, innovation and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong industry partnerships to ensure programmes remain relevant and future-focused
- Contribute to academic planning, accreditation activities and course reviews
- Support organisational growth through strategic academic leadership and stakeholder engagement

What you'll need to succeed

- Significant leadership experience within higher education, ideally at Associate Dean, Head of School or equivalent level
- Extensive experience within Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated success leading academic teams and delivering strategic outcomes
- Solid understanding of higher education regulation, compliance and quality assurance frameworks
- Experience in curriculum development, course accreditation and academic governance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A commitment to student success, innovation and academic excellence
