A well-regarded commercial law practice is looking to add an Associate or Senior Associate to its Sydney-based Banking & Finance team. This is a strong opportunity to work on complex, high-value financing transactions across a diverse range of sectors, including real assets, infrastructure and growth capital. The Opportunity

You will join a high-performing team advising on sophisticated financing arrangements for a broad client base, including lenders, borrowers, investors and funds. The work is varied and commercially focused, with exposure to both traditional and more structured financing solutions. You will play a hands-on role across transactions, working closely with senior lawyers while also taking ownership of key workstreams.

The Work

Your work will include

Advising on real estate and development financings (senior, mezzanine and hybrid structures)

Acting on project and infrastructure financings, including energy and renewables

Supporting structured finance transactions and bespoke funding arrangements

Working on joint ventures and capital structuring for large-scale projects

Advising on growth and venture debt financings for emerging businesses

Acting for both lenders and borrowers across a range of transactions About You

4–7 years’ experience in banking & finance or a closely related practice





Strong exposure to property finance and structured transactions

Experience across lender-side and/or borrower-side matters

Commercially minded with strong drafting and negotiation skills

Confident managing components of transactions and working directly with clients

Interest in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers The Environment
