Sunshine Coast Sourdough Co SC Sourdough Pty Ltd at Turner Family Trust(trading as Sunshine Coast Sourdough Co) is looking for a passionate and experienced Baker to join the team. You'll be responsible for producing consistently high-quality, handmade sourdough breads, pastries, and sweet and savoury goods. Working with certified organic and locally sourced ingredients, you will uphold the bakery’s traditional slow-fermentation methods, maintain excellent food-safety standards, minimise waste, and contribute to a collaborative, community-focused team.

responsibilities Inspect the bakery premises, work areas, ovens, machinery and equipment before production to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements. Check the quality and freshness of certified organic flours and other locally sourced ingredients, accurately weighing and measuring them according to bakery recipes. Mix, knead,



mature, divide, cut, mould and shape dough for the bakery’s handmade sourdough breads, rolls, pastries and other baked goods.

Monitor and manage the bakery’s slow sourdough fermentation process to achieve consistent flavour, texture and product quality. Prepare sweet and savoury fillings for pastries and other bakery products. Monitor oven temperatures, baking times and product appearance to ensure breads and pastries are baked to the required colour, texture and quality.

Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of small-batch sourdough breads, rolls and pastry products. Glaze and finish buns and pastries and decorate sweet baked goods with cream, icing or other toppings as required. Safely operate mixers, dough rollers, moulding equipment and other bakery machinery used in bread and pastry production.
