Baker / Pastry Chef – Full Time

Salary Range:- $75K - $85K per annum (plus Superannuation)

The QuickTurn Hospitality is seeking an experienced Baker / Pastry Chef to join one of our client bakeries in Richmond, NSW. This is a full time opportunity located in the regional area of Richmond, offering a supportive work environment and excellent career growth opportunities.

To be considered for the position you must have extensive experience working in a busy venue.

Responsibilities

- Preparing and baking a range of breads, pastries, and other bakery items.

- Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients

- Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough

- Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times

- Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products

- Glazing buns and pastries





- Operating machines which roll and mould dough

- Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Experience and Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen setting

- Experience training, developing, and mentoring kitchen teams

- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Passionate about the hospitality industry

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
