The Lillywhite Hotel Group (LHG) is family-run hotel group with hotels in Charters Towers, Mareeba and Townsville.

LHG is recruiting for a Duty Manager to support and assist venue operations across our four iconic Townsville Venues: Hotel Stuart, Riverview Tavern, The Bohle Barn and the Bushland Beach Tavern.

Position Summary

Some of the responsibilities and duties of the role include:

- Supporting and assisting our Venue Managers co-ordinate all areas of the Venue across our four Townsville based Hotels as required.

- Supervising shift operations at your rostered Venue by ensuring all operational areas are serviced efficiently and productively by rostered staff.

- Implementing policies and procedures directed by senior management and ensure those policies and procedures are communicated to all employees to ensure operational and service standards are maintained.

- Opening/closing the designated Venue as rostered.

- Ensuring excellent customer service is provided in all areas of the Venue.

- Training and developing the skills and confidence of the staff members you lead.

- Ensuring compliance with all requirements, regulation and legislation in respect of liquor and gaming, anti-money laundering, WHS, food safety/council local laws and fire safety.

- Maintaining the integrity of the stock control and cash handling systems.





- Help drive a positive, professional and accountable team culture.

Essential Qualifications

- RSG Certificate.

- Current RMLV Certificate

- Current Approved Managers License.

- Safe food handlers Certificate.

About you

You will bring previous experience as a Duty Manager to the role and experience working for Multi-Venue operators, or the ability and willingness to do so, will be highly desirable. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional knowledge of modern Australian food and beverage trends across pubs, restaurants and bistro style establishments.

You will have the willingness and flexibility to work across day, night and mid-shifts and your knowledge of Queensland Liquor and Gaming compliance is a must. Understanding and exposure to Keno and TAB operations is also highly favourable.

Above all else, you will have a true passion for exceptional customer service and the ability to interact positively with a diverse clientele.
