Package negotiable depending on experience level. Candidates must have some retail or grocery management experience. Night work and some weekend work is required. Friday and Saturday night roster is a requirement of the role.

Some basic stock management and ordering experience preferred

Must be available Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights. Option to work less days and hours for different salary package possible as well. Eg Thurs-Sat. Or later starts / shorter workdays, or less working days...

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Weekend + Night Manager to join our IGA Thirroul store in Thirroul, NSW. This is a full-time position or part-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring our store operates smoothly during weekend and evening trading periods. As Weekend Duty Manager / Night Manager, you will be responsible for leading the store during these key trading times, maintaining high standards of customer service, stock management, and team supervision. This role is integral to our store's success and directly impacts our ability to meet customer expectations and achieve business objectives. You will work primarily on weekends and nights,



providing solid leadership and operational management to ensure the store runs efficiently during these busy periods.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all store operations during weekend and night shifts, including opening or closing procedures as required
- Supervise and manage team members on shift, providing direction, support and performance feedback
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food handling regulations at all times
- Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory controls to maintain product availability
- Monitor and maintain store presentation, cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
- Process transactions and handle cash management responsibilities accurately
- Address customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Implement promotional activities and pricing changes as communicated by head office
- Monitor store security and loss prevention measures
- Report on store performance and communicate relevant information to management
- Train and develop team members in customer service excellence and operational procedures

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, ideally in a supermarket or grocery environment
- Robust leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience
- Sound knowledge of stock management, inventory control and ordering procedures
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and retail technology
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, nights and public holidays as required
- Robust organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of store presentation
- Knowledge of health, safety and food handling regulations relevant to retail supermarkets
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A current driver's licence is preferred
- Previous retail management experience in a supermarket setting would be highly advantageous
