ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Accounts and Payroll Manager, the successful applicant will be employed on a Part-Time basis, initially working 22.50-30.00 hours per week with the ability to increase hours and capacity as the role develops. On-going training will be provided and a level of flexibility around working arrangements may be negotiated. This role would be suitable for those looking to work during school hours or looking to get back into the workforce. Accountabilities will include:
- Maintain accurate financial records using MYOB and coordinating financial data across multiple systems.
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable including the generation and issuing of invoices.
- Assisting with Debtor Management to ensure timely payments and collection of invoices.
- End to end management of Accounts Payable.
- Process fortnightly payroll using PayCat, ensure STP compliance, Pay Day Super compliance and manage employee leave.
- Assist with the onboarding of new employees in MYOB and HR Systems.
- Ability to manage ad hoc duties as required and respond to all enquiries in a timely manner.
- Efficient handling of daily bookkeeping tasks and duties.
- Provide coverage to our Administration employee during breaks, annual or personal leave.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and employ security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Prepare end of month financial duties, including reconciling bank accounts and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Taxation Office requirements.
- Develop and implement processes to address efficiencies and improvements within the organisation’s systems relative to the role.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environmentby actively participating in team meetings, professional development, organisational initiatives and fostering a supportive culture.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the NDIS sector, including legislation, funding arrangements, practice standards and emerging developments, applying this knowledge to support best practice, compliance and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU:
- Certificate IV in bookkeeping and competent use of MYOB Accounting software is a must.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide support and guidance to a variety of internal and external stakeholders across a broad range of systems.
- Have strong administration skills and record keeping, ensuring adherence to privacy and confidentiality legislation.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Value and enjoy teamwork and collaboration with others to achieve common goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and independently while maintaining high standards of performance.
