About The Role LifeFlight is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Project Manager - Information Technology, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering technology solutions that support LifeFlight's critical operations, enterprise systems roadmap, and ongoing digital transformation. Working across a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives, you'll partner with stakeholders throughout the organisation to understand business needs, analyse processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into practical technology solutions. You'll work closely with business leaders, project teams, vendors, and technical specialists to ensure solutions deliver measurable business value and support the way our people work. You'll Be Responsible For Business Analysis &
Requirements Management: Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements. Facilitate workshops, support solution design activities, and ensure requirements are clearly understood throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement & Solution Design: Analyse and document current and future state business processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, standardise processes, and enhance user experience. Contribute to the evaluation and design of technology solutions that align with business objectives and operational needs.
Project Delivery & Technology Transformation: Support the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives by working closely with Project Managers, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. Contribute to project planning, business case development, solution evaluation, implementation activities, and business readiness to ensure successful outcomes.
Data & Technical Analysis: Contribute to initiatives involving enterprise applications, system integrations, automation, reporting, cloud platforms, and technology modernisation. Analyse data and information flows, assist in defining reporting requirements, identify technical risks and dependencies,
and support solution implementation activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build trusted relationships across the organisation and act as a bridge between business and technology teams. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, manage competing priorities, facilitate decision-making, and ensure business needs are understood and addressed. Testing, Change & Adoption: Support solution testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assist with change impact assessments and business readiness activities, and contribute to training and transition planning to support successful adoption of new systems and processes.
About You
You'll be a proactive, analytical and collaborative Business Analyst with a passion for improving business processes, solving complex problems, and delivering practical technology solutions that create measurable business value. You are equally comfortable facilitating workshops with business users, analysing processes and requirements, and working alongside technical teams to support solution design and delivery. You'll have strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
To Be Successful In This
Role, You Will Have Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within an Information Technology environment.
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience eliciting, analysing, documenting, and validating business, functional and technical requirements.
Proven ability to facilitate workshops, map business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams.
Experience supporting technology projects such as business application implementations, system integrations, cloud initiatives, reporting solutions, cybersecurity improvements, or digital transformation programs.
Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.
A solid understanding of Business Analysis methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Experience analysing business data and reporting requirements to support decision-making and solution design.
Experience supporting testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect management.
Knowledge of change management principles and experience supporting business readiness and adoption activities.
Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, Miro, or similar platforms.
Desirable Business
Analysis certifications such as CBAP, ECBA, CCBA, Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
Exposure to reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI.
Experience documenting integrations, APIs, and data flows.
Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity principles.
Experience working within highly regulated, operational, healthcare, aviation, emergency services, or not-for-profit environments. Why LifeFlight?
