About the Chance
We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced Trainer & Assessors to deliver and assess the following nationally recognised qualifications:
- CPC31220 – Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining
- CPC31320 – Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
- CPC33020 – Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
We welcome applications from candidates who are qualified across one or more of the above qualifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced construction tradespeople who are passionate about sharing their industry knowledge and helping students develop practical, job-ready skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging and practical face-to-face training in accordance with training and assessment strategies and training plans.
- Delivering both theoretical and practical training in a workshop and/or simulated workplace environment.
- Conducting valid, fair, reliable and compliant assessments.
- Providing clear and constructive feedback to students.
- Supporting students to develop the practical skills and knowledge required for their chosen trade.
- Monitoring student progress and identifying students requiring additional support.
- Maintaining accurate and timely training, assessment and student records.
- Completing assessment documentation and administrative requirements within required timeframes.
- Participating in assessment validation and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintaining current industry knowledge, skills and practices.
- Ensuring all training and assessment activities comply with relevant VET regulatory requirements and Glen Institute policies and procedures.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development and other RTO activities as required
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Applicants must have:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a current equivalent/acceptable training and assessment qualification.
- A relevant vocational qualification and/or trade qualification aligned with the qualification(s) being delivered.
- Demonstrated recent and relevant industry experience in the applicable trade area.
- Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training and assessment.
- Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment principles.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and student engagement skills.
- Ability to deliver practical, hands-on training in a workshop/simulated workplace environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate training and assessment records.
- Strong commitment to student outcomes, quality training and RTO compliance.
Qualifications of particular interest
We are particularly interested in trainers with current industry experience and vocational competence in:
Wall & Ceiling Lining
- CPC31220 – Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining
Wall & Floor Tiling
- CPC31320 – Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
Bricklaying & Blocklaying
- CPC33020 – Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying

Industry Currency
Applicants must be able to demonstrate current industry skills and knowledge relevant to the qualification(s) they will deliver and assess.
Evidence of ongoing industry engagement may be required as part of the recruitment and compliance process.
