About the role:
If successful, you will be responsibile for facilitating andcollaborating on a range of projects within the Knowledge Centre,while undertaking applied research to support policy responses, andcontribute to specific
projects with limited direction. You will also contribute to tenderbids and for small grants.
To be considered for this role, you will be able todemonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- A relevant Degree in Social Science or related field and/orwith a research component; and experience in writing forexternal audiences
- Skills and successful experience in undertaking smallapplied research projects and / or contributing as part of aresearch team to large projects and tender/grantsubmissions
- Excellent demonstrated project management andorganisational skills including capacity to consult,collaborate, plan, action,
review and improve and to completedeliverables on time and to a high standard
- Excellent writing skills to produce clear, concise and wellorganised reports and submissions for a range of purposes andaudiences
- Ability to design and undertake qualitative andquantitative research including experience in use of dataanalysis software
- Demonstrated successful analytical skills with an abilityto think strategically in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skillsincluding the ability to engage effectively with a range ofinternal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and support the effectivework of volunteers and interns
- Ability to work independently and flexibly to achieveresults in fluid policy contexts as well as contribute to ateam
- Capacity and willingness to learn new skills andincorporate new knowledge and work in new areas
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability,teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES AustraliaVision and Mission and demonstrated commitment to quality andcontinuous improvement principles
