Workfast is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Mackay or Townsville, with a specific focus on expanding our presence across the mining and resources sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who knows the mining industry, understands the people and businesses within it and wants to use that experience and network to build something of their own within recruitment.

About the opportunity:

Workfast has recently secured a number of new clients and projects within the mining and resources sector and is now looking to expand our operations in North & Central Queensland.

We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities, build strong relationships and ultimately help grow our mining client base across the region.

You don't necessarily need to come from recruitment.

If you're currently working within the mining industry in a role such as Mining Services, Site Management, Operations, Business Development, Account Management,



Contracting or Procurement and you've built a strong network of contacts across the industry, we'd love to hear from you.

You may already know the people we need to speak to, we're looking for someone who can turn those relationships and industry connections into new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the mining and resources sector

- Build strong relationships with mining companies, contractors and key decision makers

- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business

- Attend client meetings, mine sites and industry events

- Identify upcoming projects, workforce requirements and labour-hire opportunities

- Work closely with our recruitment team to understand client requirements and deliver quality candidates

- Manage and grow existing client relationships

- Negotiate commercial agreements and rates

- Represent Workfast professionally within the mining industry

- Contribute to the continued growth and development of our Mining & Resources division

What You Bring to the Team:

- Mining industry experience highly regarded

- Existing relationships and contacts within the mining/resources sector

- Proven Business Development,



Account Management or Sales experience OR strong commercial experience within the mining industry

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine ability to identify opportunities and convert them into business

- Strong commercial understanding and negotiation skills

- Self-motivated, driven and comfortable working autonomously

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- Full Australian working rights
