Our client, a respected Japanese airline, is currently looking for a Cargo Agent to join their team at Sydney International Airport. This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering exposure to a quick-paced and rewarding aviation environment. As a Cargo Agent, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day cargo operations and ensuring the smooth movement of freight and mail.

Candidates with experience in cargo services, aviation, airport operations, or ground handling are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the handling of import and export cargo, as well as mail shipments.
- Prepare load plans and manage aircraft weight, balance, and payload requirements.
- Oversee ground handling staff during cargo and baggage loading and unloading activities, ensuring all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with airline policies, operational procedures, and aviation safety and security regulations.
- Investigate and manage cargo tracking issues, including delayed, damaged, lost, or missing shipments.
- Monitor and control equipment inventory,



including Unit Load Devices (ULDs).
- Support additional operational duties as required.

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in cargo operations, airport services, ground handling, flight operations, or a related aviation field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Availability to work on a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, with two scheduled days off each week. Standard shift hours are generally 5:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and adaptable approach to work.
- Competent computer skills.
- A current and valid driver's licence is essential.
