About Us
Our client, a well-established Japanese airline, is seeking a Cargo Agent to join their team at Sydney International Airport. This is a full-time permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic aviation environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily cargo operations. If you have experience in cargo, airline, airport, or ground handling operations, this could be an exciting opportunity to advance your career.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate import and export cargo and mail logistics.
- Perform load planning and manage aircraft payload, weight and balance
- Supervise and direct ground handling crews during cargo and baggage loading/unloading operations, ensuring proper securing and staging procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations relating to safety and security.
- Conduct tracking and tracing activities for damaged, delayed, lost, or missing cargo.
- Monitor and manage equipment inventory, including Unit Load Devices (ULDs).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile
- Previous experience in cargo operations, flight operations, ground handling, or a similar aviation-related role is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Ability to work a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, with two rostered days off per week. Standard shift hours are 5:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a adaptable and proactive approach to work.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A valid driver's licence is required.
