Barnardos Australia is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our OOHC team in Homebush, 2140. This is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term prospect to be part of a values-led organisation committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

About the RoleAs a Case Manager, you will:

- Build robust, strengths-based relationships with children, young people, carers, families and community stakeholders.
- Develop, implement and review permanency-focused case plans to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Assess and respond to risks relating to child safety, wellbeing, abuse, neglect and exploitation.
- Advocate for the rights, wellbeing and cultural identity of children and young people in care.
- Collaborate with parents, kin, carers and service providers to strengthen family capacity and support networks.
- Participate in a rostered on-call service, providing after-hours support and crisis response when required.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services that uphold child safety, cultural safety, and family-led practice.

Skills and Experience :

- Tertiary degree level qualification in a Human Services or related field or relevant experience in the sector demonstrating relevant knowledge and skills for the role.
- Knowledge of child development and childhood developmental trauma.
- Knowledge of human and child rights, and the lasting harm of colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Demonstrated experience of high quality partnership with children, young people, families and their communities in a child protection or OOHC context.




- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, including a strong understanding of cultural safety, self-determination, and the historical and contemporary factors that impact Aboriginal peoples.

What’s on Offer:

- Base salary: $92,292 – $95,618 per annum (pro rata, if applicable) + 12% superannuation
- Salary packaging: Up to $15,860 tax-free (general living expenses)
