Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy with a robust reputation across planning, engineering and project management. They are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team.

This is a rare opportunity to combine technical project delivery with client development, mentoring and leadership, helping shape the future direction of the civil engineering team.

This role can be based in Sydney CBD or Newcastle, NSW.

About the role:

You will lead and contribute to projects across the full lifecycle, delivering innovative civil engineering solutions for land development, roads, water infrastructure, defense and local government clients.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of the civil infrastructure team, helping to develop client relationships, win new work and mentor the next generation of engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead the design, review and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering works into larger projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and graduates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve project efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to repeat business opportunities.

About You:





To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Degree-qualified Civil Engineer.
- 8+ years' experience within a consulting civil engineering environment.
- Strong civil design experience across land development and infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering projects to scope, budget and timeframe.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead engineers and designers.
- Experience with Civil 3D, 12d, DRAINS or similar civil design software highly regarded.
- CPEng or working towards Chartership highly regarded.
