Position Overview

We are looking for a FrontEnd Developer to help build and enhance enterprise-grade web solutions based in Sydney. The role will involve taking ownership of frontend development, contributing to technical decisions, and delivering intuitive, reliable, and high-performing user interfaces.

The ideal candidate will combine strong React expertise with solid JavaScript fundamentals, a good understanding of frontend architecture, and the ability to work effectively across design and engineering teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Frontend Engineering

- Build feature-rich web interfaces using ReactJS and contemporary frontend development practices.

- Develop reusable UI components and maintain consistency across applications.

- Convert business and design requirements into practical frontend solutions.

- Ensure applications provide a smooth experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile environments.

Application Performance

- Analyse frontend performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Reduce loading times and improve application responsiveness.

- Apply suitable techniques for handling large-scale and data-intensive web applications.

Integration & Collaboration

- Consume and integrate REST APIs and work with asynchronous data flows.

- Coordinate with backend engineers to ensure efficient application integration.

- Work closely with UI/UX teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.

- Participate in technical discussions, peer reviews, and solution design activities.

Maintenance & Quality

- Investigate production issues, identify root causes,



and implement fixes.

- Maintain coding standards and contribute to improving frontend development practices.

- Review existing implementations and recommend opportunities for modernization.

- Keep pace with evolving frontend technologies and industry practices.

Core Technical Requirements

- Strong professional experience with ReactJS.

- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, along with solid HTML and CSS skills.

- Experience implementing application state management with Redux or comparable technologies.

- Strong understanding of RESTful web services and asynchronous operations.

- Experience applying frontend performance and optimization techniques.

- Hands-on experience using Git or equivalent source-control platforms.

- Strong understanding of responsive UI development and browser compatibility.

Good to Have

- Experience working with TypeScript in production applications.

- Familiarity with Jest, Enzyme, or other frontend testing approaches.

- Experience using SASS, LESS, or similar styling technologies.

- Knowledge of frontend build ecosystems such as Webpack and Babel.

- Understanding of accessibility standards and secure frontend development practices.

- Awareness of application security and compliance requirements.

Experience & Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 7–10 years of experience delivering frontend/web applications.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

- High level of ownership and attention to quality.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with developers, designers, and business stakeholders.
