The Role

We have a great opportunity for a Float Legal Secretary to join our firm on a full-time basis. This is a fixed term position for an initial period of 3 to 6 months, with the potential to become ongoing.

As a Float Legal Secretary, you will provide support across the firm's departments including Corporate and Commercial, Construction and Infrastructure, Employment and Workplace Relations, Estate Group, Family Law, Intellectual Property and IT, Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Property.

Your duties will include:

- File management including filing of documents in iManage;
- Dictations using BigHand;
- E-Court filing;




- Preparation of Counsel briefs;
- Liaising with clients;
- Monthly billing using Affinity practice management system;
- Entering client data into Affinity;
- Scheduling of appointments;
- Reception cover as required; and
- General administrative tasks including photocopying and printing when required.

The Candidate

You will have a positive attitude, exceptional time management skills incorporating attention to detail and excellent communication skills. A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills are a must. Exposure to the recent AML rules is also highly regarded.

Ideally, you will have at least 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary. The successful candidate must be adaptable and organised when working across a number of teams.
