Managing facility maintenance, non-clinical inventory, equipment servicing and cleaning arrangements

Acting as the first point of contact for patient feedback and complaints and managing matters professionally and appropriately

Liaising with suppliers, service providers and other external stakeholders on operational matters

Supporting the Directors with operational projects, reporting and administration as required

About you

You’ll be an experienced healthcare administrator or Practice Manager who is comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy clinic.

You’ll be a calm and capable leader who can support your team while maintaining clear expectations and high standards. You’ll be equally comfortable solving an immediate operational issue, reviewing a process, dealing with a patient concern or ensuring the numbers and administration are accurate.

You’ll bring:

- Proven experience as a Practice Manager or senior administrator within a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated experience leading, supporting and motivating staff
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong financial administration skills, including billing, payroll, bookkeeping and budget monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of Australian healthcare, privacy and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial, administrative and patient records
- Confidence using technology and practice administration systems
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to take ownership of operational issues

- The ability to work collaboratively with clinical leaders, Directors and the broader clinic team
- Qualifications in healthcare administration, business or management will be highly regarded, as will experience with Best Practice/BP Premier or similar practice management software.
- Experience working in an urgent care, emergency or other high-throughput healthcare setting would also be advantageous.

This is an opportunity to join FAST Emergency Care Clinic at an significant stage of its development and have a genuine influence on how the clinic operates.

We want a Practice Manager who will do more than maintain existing processes. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape systems, build a strong reception and administration function, contribute ideas and work directly with the clinic’s leadership team.

If you’re someone who takes pride in running an organised, efficient and patient-focused practice and enjoys finding better ways of doing things, we’d love to hear from you.
