CASUAL STABLEHAND

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Stablehand to join our team, available to start immediately.

Position Details

- Casual position – approximately 25–30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours
- Morning shifts generally 6:30am – 12:00pm
- 1–2 afternoon shifts per week with a 1–1½ hour lunch break between morning and afternoon shifts
- Some Saturday morning work will be required
- Weekly roster provided each Thursday for the following week

Duties Include

- Leading, saddling, washing and grooming horses
- Feeding, rugging and general horse care
- Loading and unloading horses
- Swimming and treadmill work
- General stable duties
- Race day assistance when required

About You

- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on setting
- Confident and capable around horses
- Previous horse handling is essential
- Previous stable experience is preferred; however,



training can be provided for the right applicant
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Able to follow instructions and have good attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Flexible with working hours
- A truck licence would be advantageous, but is not essential

Above award/industry rates for the right applicant, with additional race day work available.
