About the role
Gusto Riverfront Restaurant is looking for an experienced chef to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. The role would suit someone who is self-motivated and looking for a challenge.
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
- Qualifications (Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Occupational health and safety (OH&S;)
- Experience in menu planning
- Experience in budgeting
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and leading kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality food.
- Supervising kitchen operations effectively and to a high standard while meeting labour targets.
- Timely and effective service of high-quality food.
- Responsibility for managing the cost of goods and wage targets.
- Rostering and shift management.
- Stock management including ordering,
rotation, and wastage control.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in all areas of your work.
