This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly complex and large privately owned Australian business that operates a nationally distributed network, assets, and infrastructure. With a strong track record of growth and a reputation for entrepreneurial decision-making, the organisation is entering an important phase of leadership succession and operational evolution.
As part of this transition, an opportunity has arisen for a highly commercial and operationally focused Chief Executive Officer to join the business. The role is centred on operational leadership and execution, with responsibility for leading a complex, multi-site organisation operating in a quick-paced and highly accountable environment.
Reporting directly to a Director, the successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations across a large national footprint encompassing logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, operations, health and safety, and network growth. The role will work closely alongside the current CEO who will over time step into a Director role as part of a structured succession process, with increasing responsibility over time.
You will be a proven COO/CEO or Managing Director within a complex operational organisation and have a strong background in a similar business – your experience could include: - multi-site operations, logistics, supply chain, industrial, transport, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, retail or similarly asset-intensive environments.
This is a rare opportunity to join a successful privately owned Australian business in a CEO capacity while remaining deeply connected to the operations. The role offers significant scope, responsibility and long-term growth potential as part of planned leadership succession.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of a nationally significant business, work closely with an experienced and highly engaged Director, and play a critical role in shaping organisational performance for the years ahead.
