About the Role…

Supporting play and group work service delivery in the Shoalhaven region. This includes regular playgroups at Ulladulla, Nowra and outreach; the Child and Play Facilitator will have an integral role in developing an integrated and holistic approach to working with and supporting the care and education of children within Early Intervention Learning.

In partnership with the Early Intervention Coordinator, the position will work to engage and support all children and focus on intervention strategies to engage and sustain participation of the children and their families within the early education setting.

This role will work as part of the Early Intervention Team to facilitate outdoor play sessions that promote the importance of play and prior to school learning opportunities for children aged 0 – 5 years, including Park and Play.

The Child and Play Facilitator will provide families with access to accurate information about child development, parenting and encourage community connectedness through a variety of means such as but not limited to service visits and presentations at playgroup and providing up-to-date information materials at playgroup activities.

You will work in a multi-disciplined team environment delivering services within a Therapeutic Practice Framework (TPF) and planned Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E;) reporting of pre and post early intervention measures. Benchmarked to national quality standards of practice.

What we’re looking for:

- Certificate in Early Childhood or Diploma in Community Services, Early Learning or other relevant discipline

- Experience working within the Community Services sector, or Early Learning sector;

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

- Ability to work independently or within a team. Effectively managing own workload;

- Competent computer and literacy skills;

- Knowledge of community agencies;

- Approved Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and National Police Checks;

- Willingness to support the FSA’s flexible delivery of services; and





- Current Unrestricted C Class Drivers License (manual vehicle desirable) and First Aid Certificate.
