We’re working with an established AI automation business looking for a rare kind of technology leader: someone who can still build production systems while leading product, engineering and delivery.

This hands-on Chief Product and Technology Officer role will work closely with the founder to scale a business with 80 client workflows already in production, an existing team, real revenue and active demand.

The business identifies valuable client workflows, builds AI-enabled automation solutions and operates them as managed services. The next phase is about improving the technical platform, strengthening delivery standards, building the team and turning successful client work into a more repeatable and scalable model.

This is not a purely strategic executive role. The position will initially involve hands-on production development. You will need to be technically current, including recent experience building and deploying AI automation, workflow or multi-agent systems.





You’ll likely suit this role if you have:

- Recent hands-on experience shipping production AI or automation systems
- Strong software engineering, architecture and DevSecOps capability
- The ability to lead engineers while remaining deeply involved in development
- Solid product and delivery judgement
- The confidence to work directly with clients and contribute to winning new work
- Commercial awareness across delivery margins, pricing and client outcomes
- A bias for speed, pragmatism and disciplined execution

The founder will continue to lead the overall company direction, sales strategy and P&L.; The CPTO will own the product and technology agenda and play a central role in the operation and growth of the business.

This is a Sydney-based role. The position offers a competitive executive salary plus equity.
