Civil Construction Superintendent

12 Month Maximum Term | 8/6 Roster – 12 hour days

Finniss Projects Team | Darwin Residential Core Lithium is seeking an experienced Civil Works Superintendent to join our construction team at the Finniss Lithium Operation in the Northern Territory.

This is a 12-month maximum term opportunity, working an 8/6 roster, day shift only, 12 hours per day.

Supporting construction activities associated with our BP33 Underground Project, you will provide field leadership and oversight across civil works and their interfaces with structural, mechanical and piping construction. Working closely with our Construction Manager, engineering, quality and geotechnical teams, you will ensure contractors execute work safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules, specifications and quality requirements.

About the Role You will provide day-to-day construction oversight from mobilisation through to completion, commissioning and handover, with responsibilities including:

Provide visible safety leadership across construction work fronts, ensuring critical controls, permits and safe work requirements are implemented and maintained.

Supervise civil construction activities including earthworks, excavation and trenching, drainage, concrete, foundations, plinths and underground services.

Monitor contractor performance, productivity, resourcing and progress against project schedules and milestones.

Ensure construction is completed in accordance with IFC drawings, engineering specifications, geotechnical recommendations and approved methodologies.

Coordinate survey requirements, set-outs,



verification and as-built activities.

Oversee quality requirements including ITPs, inspections, hold and witness points, testing, construction records and defect rectification.

Coordinate interfaces between civil works and structural, mechanical and piping installation to maintain construction readiness and work-front availability.

Provide oversight of structural steel erection, equipment installation, piping activities, craneage and heavy lifts where required.

Identify construction, schedule, quality and productivity risks and work with contractors and the Construction Manager to resolve field issues.

Support mechanical completion, punch-list close-out, commissioning, construction dossiers and project handover.

Maintain effective communication across contractors, engineering, quality, survey, geotechnical and other project stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for an experienced construction professional with a strong background delivering civil and multidisciplinary construction works within mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial environments.

You will ideally bring

Demonstrated experience as a Civil Superintendent, Construction Superintendent,



Construction Supervisor or similar senior site-based construction role.

Strong experience supervising contractors and managing multiple construction work fronts.

Practical experience across civil construction including earthworks, dams, concrete, foundations, drainage, underground services and associated infrastructure.

Exposure to structural, mechanical and/or piping construction and the interfaces between civil and SMP works would be an advantage.

Experience working from engineering drawings, specifications, work packs and construction methodologies.

Strong understanding of construction QA/QC processes, including ITPs, hold points, inspections, testing and completion documentation.

Experience supporting mechanical completion, commissioning and project handover activities would be an advantage.

Strong safety leadership and experience working around high-risk construction activities.

Well-developed planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Previous mining, process plant or major resources construction experience will be highly regarded.
