Ultra Tune Toronto is seeking an experienced and dedicated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team in Toronto, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our Toronto location. As a Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing light vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring our customers receive reliable and safe vehicles. This position is integral to our workshop operations and directly contributes to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining Ultra Tune's reputation for quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and tyre rotations
- Conduct repairs to engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering and exhaust systems
- Complete electrical system repairs and diagnostics, including battery and alternator work
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly and prepare accurate quotations for repair work
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress and recommendations
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the efficient running of the workshop and support other team members when required

What we're looking for

- Current automotive trade qualification or equivalent (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar recognised qualification)




- Minimum 2-3 years' practical experience as a light vehicle mechanic or in a similar automotive workshop role
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle systems including engine, transmission, braking, suspension and electrical components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual work, including standing, bending and lifting
- RMS Inspection ticket and/or Air con qualifications highly considered.
