Anthony & Sam Freedman Racing Pty Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and capable Trackwork Rider to join our racing stable based at Pinecliff, Mt Eliza, Victoria.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading thoroughbred racing operations, riding quality horses in a high-performance environment.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for riding 8–10 horses each morning, with a strong focus on pace and timed work, jump outs, and the education of young horses. The role requires a confident and skilled rider who is capable of handling a variety of thoroughbreds, including colts and young horses in training.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 3 years' full-time professional experience as a Trackwork Rider.
- Proven ability to ride pace and timed work to instruction.
- Experience educating and developing young thoroughbreds.
- Solid horsemanship and horse-handling skills.
- Ability to confidently ride strong horses, including colts.
- Reliable, punctual,



and able to work effectively within a professional team environment.
- Must hold a valid Australian working visa or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

- Ride 8–10 horses each morning.
- Confidently ride strong and fit thoroughbreds, including colts.
- Participate in pace work, gallops, and jump outs.
- Educate and develop young horses.
- Follow training instructions accurately and provide feedback on horse performance.
- Assist in maintaining the safety, welfare and presentation of horses at all times.

Hours

Monday to Saturday
7:00am – 10:00am
