Role Description The Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role is a part-time position based in Melbourne, VIC, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. In this role, you will assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data related to performance, operations, and fan engagement. You will support the analysis of datasets to identify trends, generate insights, and prepare clear visualizations and reports for coaching, management, and business teams.

Daily tasks include maintaining databases, running basic statistical and analytical models, documenting methodologies, and contributing to dashboards. You will collaborate with senior analysts and other stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, timely, and useful for decision making.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics capabilities.





Candidates should possess knowledge of Statistics and basic Data Modeling concepts.

Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for presenting data insights.

Candidates should possess familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, and at least one analytics or visualization platform (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, Tableau).

Relevant academic background in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (completed or in progress) is beneficial.

Attention to detail, curiosity about sports analytics, and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting are preferred.

Experience with data cleaning, basic reporting, or sports-related data projects (university, personal, or internship) is an advantage.
