Azooa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Defence’s LC4S Branch / LCSS SPO within the CA31 Battlespace Command System environment.

About the Role The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting delivery of the Army Capability Manager’s approved IBTN work packages within the Capability Enhancement Strategy program. The role will operate under broad direction from the Trunk Systems Sustainment Manager and will manage, plan and monitor day-to-day project delivery activities within an integrated Defence workforce.

Responsibilities

- Manage a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs in accordance with Defence practices, methods and standards
- Manage project schedule, risk, budget and resources
- Prepare project briefings, submissions, reports and returns
- Monitor project performance against agreed plans
- Identify project risks and opportunities and incorporate them into planning and decision-making
- Develop and support project planning, performance, cost and schedule documentation
- Contribute to work breakdown structures and delivery planning
- Prepare correspondence and documentation for senior delegates and committees
- Provide project management technical, professional and policy advice
- Support strategic planning, program management and policy development
- Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships
- Communicate with influence and negotiate effectively across complex stakeholder groups
- Resolve project issues through analysis of alternative courses of action
- Ensure compliance with legislative,



policy and regulatory frameworks
- Work independently while contributing effectively within an integrated team environment

Qualifications

- Australian Government NV1 security clearance
- Ability to work onsite at Victoria Barracks, Melbourne for a minimum of 3 days per week
- Relevant project management qualifications and/or experience
- Ability to satisfy the ITAR requirement
- Availability for the full short-term engagement from 3 September 2026 to 6 November 2026

Preferred Skills

Candidates from other industries may also be considered where they have robust transferable project management experience and meet the required security clearance requirements.

Pay range and compensation package

Azooa’s current guidance for this opportunity is:

- $137.42/hour including super
- $139.42/hour + GST for Pty Ltd contractors
