Role Overview A major Australian Federal Government agency is seeking experienced Delivery Managers to support a diverse portfolio of digital and ICT initiatives.

The agency is continuing to uplift its ICT delivery capability through improved processes and ways of working across planning, prioritization, investment management, governance and project delivery. Delivery Managers will provide specialist delivery expertise and support ICT and technology-enabled initiatives from inception through to transition into business-as-usual (BAU) operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Coordinate BAU delivery activities, ensuring operational work is planned, prioritised and progressed in line with organizational priorities.
- Work closely with technical teams, business areas and vendors to manage dependencies, risks, issues, service impacts and competing priorities.
- Support governance, reporting and decision-making by maintaining visibility of work activities, milestones, risks and delivery status.
- Facilitate operational planning, demand management and resource coordination across business and technical teams.
- Support transition of project outcomes into BAU, including handover planning, operational readiness and sustainment.
- Identify and coordinate continuous improvement opportunities across ICT service delivery, processes and ways of working.
- Build productive stakeholder relationships and facilitate clear communication, escalation and delivery of agreed outcomes.




- Manage end-to-end delivery of ICT programs within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality, while complying with relevant government standards.
- Manage program risks, issues, dependencies and resource requirements and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Some specialised positions may also support capital budget prioritization, digital investment planning, business case submissions and recent policy proposals for digital investment initiatives.

Key Skillsets:

- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering and managing ICT functions and programs within government and/or large enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary delivery teams using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues and dependencies to achieve successful delivery outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build productive relationships across organisational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, coaching and motivating technical and non-technical teams in fast-paced environments.
- Experience using project delivery, governance and reporting tools/platforms.
- Experience delivering Agile projects within PRINCE2 or equivalent governance frameworks, including continuous improvement, removing blockers and improving delivery efficiency.
- Experience working with vendors and delivery partners, monitoring progress, resolving issues and keeping delivery on track.
