Cudgegong Preschool & Childcare Centre | Ruse, NSW Cudgegong Preschool & Childcare Centre is excited to offer a wonderful opportunity for a passionate Diploma qualified Educator or WTW Diploma to join our close-knit team for an immediate start.

We are a family-owned and operated service educating and caring for 34 children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

We are looking for an educator who genuinely loves working with children, values meaningful relationships and understands that children’s safety, rights, wellbeing and best interests must always come first.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively alongside our existing educators to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for our children. Solid communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a genuine willingness to contribute to our service and continue developing professionally.

Our centre operates from 7:00am–6:00pm, so applicants must be available to work rostered shifts within these operating hours.

As part of our child-safe recruitment process,



successful applicants will be required to participate in child-safety-focused interview and referee checks and meet all current regulatory requirements.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this position, you will need: •Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards diploma, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification

- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications as required for the role
- Current approved Child Protection Training
- Completion of, or willingness to complete within the required timeframe, the mandatory Foundations of Child Safety Training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and care
- A positive, friendly and energetic approach
- A willingness to learn, grow and be part of our dedicated team
- A strong understanding of professional responsibilities relating to child safety

Desirable Criteria

Applicants who progress to the next stage of our recruitment process may be asked to provide brief written responses addressing the following:
- Previous experience working within an early childhood education and care setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYLF, NQF and National Quality Standards
- Experience with programming, planning and maintaining an ongoing cycle of observation, assessment, planning and reflection
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- A child-focused personal philosophy that aligns with Cudgegong PCC's values
- Ability to establish and maintain trusting and reciprocal relationships with children, families and fellow educators
- Understanding of current child-safe practices and the responsibility educators have in creating a child-safe culture
