12-month Temporary Full-time Opportunity Parramatta NSW Office location, hybrid working supported Senior Executive Band 1 Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $255,878 to $280,824 TRP The Heritage NSW team is seeking to temporarily appoint a Director Assessments for up to 12 months to lead the delivery of expert heritage and Aboriginal cultural heritage assessments, approvals and regulatory services across NSW.

This executive leadership role plays a critical part in supporting the conservation, management and activation of the state's significant heritage assets. As Director, you will lead a specialist team responsible for development assessments, permits, regulatory advice and stakeholder engagement relating to heritage and Aboriginal cultural heritage matters. You will work closely with government agencies, industry, local councils, Aboriginal communities, the

Heritage Council of NSW and the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee to influence strategic outcomes, drive continuous improvement and ensure best-practice heritage conservation across NSW.

About

You Extensive leadership experience in a related field, with the ability to lead a complex regulatory function Proven experience managing high-profile, complex or sensitive matters and balancing competing stakeholder, community and government priorities.

Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills,



with the ability to provide expert advice on heritage policy, assessment and conservation outcomes.

Highly developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of building productive relationships across government, industry, community and with the Aboriginal community.

A collaborative and values-driven leader with experience developing high-performing teams, driving service improvements and delivering results in a complex operating setting Essential Requirements High level experience in a regulatory and/or policy setting Driver’s Licence and ability to travel as required For more information read the full Role Description: Download File
