About the Role The Director of Library and Information Services provides strategic and operational leadership of the Senior School Library, ensuring it is a dynamic and innovative learning environment that enriches teaching and learning across the School. Working closely with the Assistant Deputy Principal (Academic), Faculty Directors and teaching staff, the Director leads the development of contemporary library services, information literacy programs and resource initiatives that support excellence in teaching and student learning.
The role is responsible for leading Library and Information Services staff, overseeing the Library's collections, systems, archives and learning spaces, and fostering a vibrant culture of reading, research and inquiry. The successful candidate will demonstrate contemporary knowledge of library and information services, together with the strategic capability to lead innovation and deliver initiatives that support the School's educational priorities and optimise learning outcomes for students.

About You
You are an accomplished educational leader with significant experience leading contemporary library and information services within a school or comparable educational setting.
You will bring
- relevant qualifications in library and information services and teaching (a master’s degree is highly regarded)
- professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
- demonstrated experience leading high-performing team and building collaborative partnerships
- strong curriculum knowledge and an understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices
- excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skill
- a passion for promoting reading, research, information literacy and lifelong learning
- a commitment to contributing positively to a high-performing and collegial school culture.
