We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand – Manufacturing to join our production team in Welshpool.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our daily manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will work alongside the team to ensure products are manufactured, filled, packed and dispatched safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for helping coordinate the production team, maintaining workflow, solving day-to-day issues and ensuring our customers receive quality products on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the production team to achieve daily manufacturing targets

- Coordinate filling, packing and production activities to ensure smooth workflow

- Train and support team members in safe work practices and quality procedures

- Monitor product quality, quantities and production paperwork

- Assist with production changeovers, machinery operation and basic troubleshooting

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and workplace organisation

- Maintain a clean, protected and well-organised production environment





- Assist with raw material movements and production requirements

- Operate forklifts and assist with general warehouse/production tasks when required

About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a successful Australian manufacturing business.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, chemical processing, coatings, paint, or a similar industry

- Experience leading or supporting a small production team

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

- A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills

- Ability to follow procedures and complete production documentation accurately

- Good communication skills and a positive attitude

- Reliability and willingness to be part of a close-knit team

Highly desirable:

- LF Forklift Licence

- Manual Driver’s Licence

- $75,000 to $80,000 per annum depending on experience and roster
