About Us

Lake Cargelligo Early Learning Centre is a community-focused early childhood education service committed to providing high-quality education and care for children aged 0–5 years. We provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow and thrive through play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our qualified team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs that support children's learning, development and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with educators, families and the Centre Director to create meaningful learning experiences while ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.

Location: Lake Cargelligo, NSW 2672

Work Location: In person

Centre Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement and evaluate engaging learning experiences that support children's development across indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Plan age-appropriate activities that encourage children's physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive development.
- Promote communication and literacy skills through stories, music, conversations, dramatic play, group discussions and other interactive experiences.
- Observe children's learning and development, maintain accurate documentation, and identify any developmental, behavioural or wellbeing concerns that may require additional support.
- Monitor children's health, safety and wellbeing while fostering a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Create an inclusive, welcoming and stimulating learning environment that encourages children's confidence, independence and sense of belonging.




- Build positive relationships with families by regularly sharing information about children's learning, achievements and developmental progress.
- Collaborate with parents, carers and external professionals to support each child's individual learning and developmental needs.
- Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, professional development sessions and centre events to support continuous improvement.
- Support family and community engagement initiatives that strengthen partnerships between the service and the local community.
- Mentor and support student educators, trainees and new team members during placements by providing guidance, supervision and constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, National Quality Standard (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and all centre policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), reflective practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute innovative ideas that support continuous improvement and the ongoing growth of the service.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct in all interactions with children, families, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality when handling children's records, family information and other sensitive information.
- Promote and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing environment by actively supervising children and ensuring their wellbeing at all times.




- Perform other duties consistent with the role of an Early Childhood Teacher and support the effective operation of the service.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum 6 months experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher or in a similar early childhood education role
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
