Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for Electrical Engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems — making a real impact on the next generation of intelligent systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where you set your own schedule and contribute on your own terms.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop accurate, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that AI models use as a learning standard
Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and alignment with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
Push the Boundaries — Probe AI systems on topics like embedded systems, VLSI, telecommunications,
robotics, and engineering simulations to expose failure modes and edge cases Who You Are Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, power electronics, signal processing, or telecommunications
Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
Highly detail-oriented — comfortable checking mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation with precision
Self-motivated and able to work independently in an asynchronous environment
No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or content evaluation
Familiarity with AI or machine learning workflows
Background in simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.) or standards compliance Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs
Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
Contribute to meaningful work that shapes how AI understands engineering
Gain rare, firsthand exposure to how advanced large language models are trained
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
