About the Role

This is a graduate role in Civil/Structural Engineering.

What You’ll Work On

Projects regularly include:

- Marine structures, waterfront infrastructure, on-water marine inspections
- Heavy industrial facilities, mechanical plant, conveyors and ship loader systems
- Residential and commercial structures
- Shallow geotechnical investigations
- Engineering investigations and failure analysis
- Field work and site inspections

Travel throughout regional Western Australia is a normal part of the role and may include locations such as Bunbury, Albany, Kalgoorlie,



the Northern Goldfields and other regional centres. Expect to travel to other locations about 20 days per year.

What You’ll Learn

You can expect to:

- Develop strong engineering judgement by solving real-world problems.
- Apply engineering first principles to non-routine challenges.
- Build familiarity with Australian Standards and engineering design practices.
- Prepare engineering drawings, reports and technical specifications.
- Visit construction sites to observe how designs are implemented.
- Receive practical feedback from experienced engineers, contractors and clients.
- Develop client communication and project management skills.
- Gain exposure to strategic commercial decision‑making within engineering projects.
- Build the competencies required for Chartered Engineer status.

You will also have opportunities to obtain practical qualifications that support your work, which may include:

- First Aid
- Construction Industry White Card
- Other industry‑relevant training as your career develops

What We’re Looking For

The right person will have:

- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- An Australian Driver’s Licence




- Construction Industry White Card (or ability to obtain)
- A clear ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status
- A genuine appetite for continual learning and professional development
- Pride in producing high-quality work
- Strong problem‑solving ability
- Curiosity and initiative
- The ability to apply engineering first principles to unfamiliar problems
- A willingness to learn and apply engineering standards appropriately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
