Land Bank of Taiwan (“LBOT”) is a100% government-owned bank in Taiwan, specialising in real estate finance and agricultural credit. The Head Office is located in Taipei, Taiwan.LBOT has significantly broadened its range of financial services and now operates148 domestic branches, 8 overseas branches and 2 representative office.

LBOT is commencing its banking operations in Brisbane, Australia. The initial set of offerings to be provided in the Australian market includes:

The Brisbane Branch (“Branch”) establishment is part of LBOT’s broader international strategy to achieve its core objectives. These objectives consist of enhancing international reputation, diversifying LBOT’s lending portfolio across different markets, providing greater client coverage and customer service, and expanding presence alongside Hong Kong and Singapore branches in the Southeast Asia region.

Role responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Accounting Department. This team is responsible for the Bank’s accounting activities, regulatory and management reporting, Head Office reporting, and tax matters, as well as payments and claims processing operations. The successful candidate will support the department head with the following responsibilities:

- Preparing and reviewing Statutory, Head Office, APRA, and Branch Management reports;




- Preparing statistical reports and survey submissions for local authorities, Head Office, and Branch Management;
- Checking yearly tax provision schedules, liaising with tax consultants for annual tax return submissions, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations;
- Reviewing and verifying entries for financial closing, payment processing, and nostro reconciliation;
- Participating in the annual budget exercise and assisting with the coordination and submission of the Branch’s annual financial plan;
- Participating in projects, system implementations, and enhancements;
- Proposing continuous improvements to accounting procedures and policies to enhance work efficiency and effectiveness;
- Adhering to accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with the statutory standards and practices;
- Performing other administrative and accounting tasks as assigned;

Education & Work Experience:

Minimum Diploma in Finance/Accountancy with at least 2 years of relevant experience in similar capacity preferably in banking industry;

Industry Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of financial, tax, internal controls, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, even under tight schedules and pressure.

Committed, meticulous, self-motivated, and possessing great initiative and high integrity.

Quick to learn and able to grasp processes and systems rapidly.

Valuable work attitude, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
