About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Learning Enrichment – Primary to join our team commencing January 2027. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of inclusion, that ensures students have every opportunity to access resources, experiences and support based on their individual needs.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience, or demonstrated capability, in leading a Learning Enrichment team. A high level of organisation is fundamental to undertaking this role, together with an understanding of curriculum and learning support. This is a senior leadership role working within an organisation that values excellence.
Duties
As the Director of Learning Enrichment – Primary School you will:
Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of the Primary Learning Enrichment team, reporting directly to the Head of Primary.
Drive excellence in student support, intervention programs and personalised learning pathways.
Work collaboratively with staff to design and oversee personalised learning and support programs, including IEPs, ICPs and interventions.
Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, staff and external service providers.
Maintain effective communication with caregivers through regular reporting, meetings and consultation as required.
Provide regular feedback to students and staff on student progress, performance and support programs.
Ensure compliance with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) guidelines.
Maintain a teaching load and contribute actively to the life of the College.
Skills and experience required
A Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialisation in a related field.
A Masters degree would be strongly considered but is not essential.
Significant experience in learning support, special education, inclusive education and/or leadership would be highly desirable.
Current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
Demonstrate a solid foundation and an in-depth understanding of the Australian curriculum.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA), Disability Standards for Education 2005 (DSE) and Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) requirements.
Demonstrated engagement in ongoing professional development that enhances teaching skills, keeping up-to-date with curriculum changes, and staying informed about best practices in education through participation in workshops, conferences, and professional learning communities that contribute to continuous growth as an educator.
