The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wills and Estates lawyer to progress their career by being a leader within our Wills and Estates team, working alongside senior lawyers and partners within our dynamic Property and Personal Services Department.

In this role, you will be working within a close-knit team on a broad range of Wills and Estates matters.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PAE, with extensive experience in Wills and Estates law.

This is a full time position that has opportunities for flexible working arrangements.

Skills

- Extensive experience in Wills, estates, probate, and estate planning, including complex succession and contested estate matters.
- Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills for wills, powers of attorney, probate applications, court documents, and related agreements.
- Excellent client relationship skills, including the ability to communicate clearly,



manage sensitive issues, and provide practical, empathetic advice.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and case law and apply them to client scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to manage files independently, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Admission as a lawyer in Victoria and holding a current practising certificate; experience at Senior Associate level or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers or legal support staff, with an interest in contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical practice and high professional standards.
- Business development awareness, including interest in networking, client education, and contributing to the growth of the Wills and Estates practice.
