HC Event Group is a sports presentation and live events company specialising in the planning, production and delivery of matchday experiences.

From the first fan through the gates to the final moment of the event, we work across sports presentation, entertainment, fan engagement, activations, ceremonies and event operations to create memorable live experiences.

As HC Event Group continues to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our team and help deliver events across Sydney and beyond.

The Role The Event Coordinator will work across the planning and delivery of HC Event Group events, with a particular focus on professional and major sporting events.

This is a hands-on position. You’ll be involved in events from the initial planning stages through to live delivery, working alongside our team, clients, venues, suppliers, talent and event-day staff.

No two event days will look exactly the same.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the planning and delivery of sporting events and matchday experiences
- Develop event documentation, schedules, run sheets and operational plans
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, entertainment and event-day personnel
- Assist with matchday presentation and run-of-show delivery
- Coordinate fan engagement activities, competitions and activations
- Support ceremonies, player introductions and special-event presentations
- Assist with commercial partner and sponsor activations
- Liaise with sporting organisations, venues and key event stakeholders
- Coordinate event equipment, signage and production requirements
- Brief and support casual event staff and contractors
- Assist with event-day bump-in, rehearsals, live delivery and bump-out
- Identify and resolve operational issues in fast-paced live environments




- Complete post-event reporting and event administration

About You

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys live events and sport.

You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable working in an environment where plans can change quickly and getting the small details right matters.

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Experience in events, sport, entertainment, hospitality or a related environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with clients, suppliers and event stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to remain composed and make decisions during live events
- Competency with Microsoft Office and event planning documentation
- A willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the sporting calendar
- A current Australian driver’s licence

Experience within professional sport, matchday presentation, fan engagement or event production will be highly regarded but isn’t essential.
