An exciting career opportunity now exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly team at our mixed-billing medical practice located in Kurralta Park, South Australia. This is a FULL-TIME position.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Nurse who enjoys providing high-quality, patient-centred nursing care and working closely with GPs and the broader clinical team.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be providing high-quality practice nursing and clinical care to our patients.
Your day-to-day nursing responsibilities will include:
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Wound care and dressings
- ECGs
- Ear syringing
- Assisting doctors with minor procedures
- Health checks and clinical observations
- Chronic disease monitoring and follow-up
- Patient education and health promotion
- Treatment room procedures
- Maintaining infection control standards
- Cold chain management and vaccine storage
- Stock and clinical equipment management
- Other general practice nursing duties as required
In addition to your core nursing responsibilities, you will also support our GPs and patients with chronic disease management, care planning and health assessments. This may include assisting with the preparation and coordination of care plans, conducting health assessments, coordinating referrals and supporting patients to access appropriate health and community services.
You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to ensure patients receive coordinated, evidence-based and person-centred care.
Skills and Experience (Essential)
The successful candidate will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Previous GP Practice / Medical Centre experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience in general practice nursing and treatment room procedures
- Sound knowledge of immunisations, the National Immunisation Program and cold chain management
- Experience or knowledge of chronic disease management, care planning and health assessments
- Strong clinical and patient-centred communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Good computer skills and confidence using clinical practice software
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive, reliable and positive “can-do” attitude
- Professional presentation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Willingness to assist with appropriate administrative and general practice tasks when required
Skills and Experience (Desirable)
- Previous experience in accident and emergency / urgent care nursing.

We are looking for someone who is first and foremost a confident and capable Practice Nurse, who enjoys clinical nursing and providing direct patient care.
The successful applicant will also have an interest in chronic disease management, preventive health, care planning and health assessments and will be keen to develop these areas of practice alongside their core nursing responsibilities.
You will become an important member of our clinical team, working collaboratively with our GPs and other staff to deliver high-quality, secure and individualised patient care.
