We are seeking an experienced and motivated Exploration Geologist to join our team and play an active role in exploration and resource development projects across north Queensland. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' geological experience, strong practical field skills and excellent computer and data-management capabilities. This is a hands-on role suited to a geologist who enjoys working in the field while also being highly competent with geological software, 3D modelling, databases and exploration data.
You will be involved across the exploration cycle, from planning and supervising field programs through to interpretation, modelling and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and undertake geological field programs.
- Geological mapping, sampling and interpretation.
- Manage and supervise RC and diamond drilling programs.
- Log drill samples and maintain high-quality geological and sampling databases.
- QA/QC management and interpretation of exploration results.
- Compile, validate and interpret geological and geochemical datasets.
- Assist with resource definition and geological modelling.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations and exploration summaries.
- Contribute to exploration strategy and project generation.
About you
You will be a practical, technically capable geologist who can confidently move between the field and the office.
- Degree qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
