Allegro Energy is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Industrial Electricians interested in joining our team on a part-time basis, approximately three days per week.
This is a hands-on trades role working across the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of electrical systems. You’ll work alongside our engineering and technical teams and have exposure to battery energy storage systems, inverters, power electronics and the electrical infrastructure supporting our battery technology.
A key area of work will be supporting the installation and commissioning of an in-house microgrid used to test Allegro’s large-scale battery systems.
The role
Your work will include
- installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, switchboards, control panels and associated equipment
- supporting the installation and commissioning of Allegro’s in-house microgrid
- commissioning and maintaining inverters, VSDs, soft starters and related equipment
- working with battery energy storage systems, UPS systems and DC distribution equipment
- carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- reading and interpreting electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and technical specifications
- completing electrical testing, verification and compliance documentation
- working alongside engineers and other trades to coordinate work safely and efficiently
- ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
About you
You’ll be a qualified electrician with solid experience in an industrial or heavy commercial environment and a practical, safety-focused approach to your work.
You’ll bring
- a current unrestricted Electrical Worker's Licence valid in Australia
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) or equivalent recognised qualification
- a minimum of three years’ post-trade experience in an industrial or heavy commercial environment
- experience with industrial electrical equipment, fault-finding and diagnostics
- the ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs;
- a strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation and LOTO procedures
- a current White Card
- a current driver's licence.
Hands-on experience with inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), renewable energy equipment or similar technology would be highly regarded.
