As a Fabrication Apprentice you will gain practical experience while rotating through the shipyard, and completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.
Responsibilities
- Fabricating a variety of materials and learning different types of welding processes
- Construction and development of all structural assemblies (hull to final fit out)
- Develop knowledge of fabrication codes and standards
- Applying health and safety processes in the workplace
- Contributing to improving business culture with regards to people, process and systems

- An understanding about what a Boilermaker/Welder role entails
- An ability to work individually and collaborate with others as a part of a team
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
- Behaviours that demonstrate integrity, respect, and honesty
- A positive outlook and enthusiasm to grow and develop in your chosen field
- Initiative to problem solve and proactively in engage in the tasks of your role
- A demonstrated interest and understanding of becoming an apprentice in a highly sought-after trade
